Our history

We began offering our services to Canadian travellers in 1991 when each provincial and territorial government announced that government health insurance plans would no longer cover 100% of emergency medical costs abroad. We were one of the first companies to offer medical insurance to Canadians who wish to travel with sufficient insurance to cover a medical emergency.

 

In the early 1990s, travel insurance was underestimated and our company was the first to raise public awareness about it by publishing the "Canada-US Medical Insurance Bulletin," since 1992.

 

Our President was a founding member of the Canadian Travel Insurance Association (THIA) in 1998.

We have designed insurance brochures, proposals and fonts that are easy to read. We are aware of the importance of superior customer service and achieved our quality goals in the early 1990s. We have maintained this quality standard for more than 20 years and our customers confirm it: no one surpasses us in our industry. Each year, thousands of customers renew their insurance coverage with us and many of them recommend us to their families and friends.

 

To reach us, you will not have to listen to a series of phone menus to talk to an agent. We do not like the phone menus; so why would we impose them on our customers? When you call during office hours, a licensed agent will be happy to take your call. If all of our agents are busy, please leave us a message and one of our agents will call you back promptly.
