Any medical emergency related to a pre-existing medical condition will be covered as long as the condition is stable for 3, 6, 12, or 24 months depending on your age, plan, and trip length (see page 15 of the policy).

Get up to $2,000, per person, per claim, to cover the fees of a dental surgeon for dental care required as a result of external trauma, when there is damage to natural & healthy teeth or for reduction of fracture or dislocation of the jaw. For all other emergency dental treatments, except root canal therapy, the fees of a dental surgeon up to $500 per trip, per person.

The Flight Delay Service benefit is the most relaxing way to deal with flight delay. All Blue Cross policies automatically include the Flight Delay Service benefit at no extra cost.
Flight Delay Service provides a range of benefits if your flight is delayed. If delayed 3+ hours you get to enjoy access to an airport lounge or a cash payout if no lounge is available. If delayed 6+ hours you can rest in the comfort of a hotel room or a cash payout if a hotel room is not available.

If you plan to travel frequently in a 12-month period, consider purchasing a multi-trip annual plan.
Annual plans cover the first 4, 8, 17, 31, 60, 90, 120, 150 or 180 days (based on the plan you selected) of every trip you take out of Canada. You may extend your annual plan if your trip is longer by simply 'topping-up' your coverage.
Annual plans include unlimited trips within Canada for 12 months (outside of your home Province or Territory).
